Microbiota oculare e diagnosi di malattie sistemiche

Alcune malattie sistemiche, come il diabete, l'artrite reumatoide e la sclerosi multipla, possono manifestarsi anche a livello oculare.

Il test del microbiota oculare può essere utile per identificare eventuali alterazioni del microbiota oculare in questi pazienti e per valutare se queste alterazioni possono essere correlate alle malattie sistemiche.

Inoltre, il test può aiutare a identificare eventuali microrganismi patogeni associati alle malattie oculari e a monitorare l'efficacia della terapia.
