Microbiota oculare e terapia antibiotica

La terapia antibiotica è un trattamento comunemente utilizzato per le infezioni oculari batteriche.

Tuttavia, la terapia antibiotica può comportare un'alterazione del microbiota oculare normale e un aumento del rischio di infezioni oculari ricorrenti.

Il test del microbiota oculare può aiutare a identificare i batteri responsabili delle infezioni oculari e a selezionare l'antibiotico più efficace.

Inoltre, il test può aiutare a monitorare l'efficacia del trattamento antibiotico e a identificare i pazienti a rischio di infezioni oculari ricorrenti.
