Ocular microbiota and antibiotic therapy

Antibiotic therapy is a commonly used treatment for bacterial eye infections.

However, antibiotic therapy may result in an alteration of the normal ocular microbiota and an increased risk of recurrent ocular infections.

The ocular microbiota test can help identify the bacteria responsible for eye infections and select the most effective antibiotic.

In addition, the test can help monitor the effectiveness of antibiotic treatment and identify patients at risk for recurrent eye infections.
