What is microbiota?

Microbiota is a term used to describe the set of microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms, that live in symbiosis with the human organism or other living organisms.

Microorganisms colonize different parts of our body, such as the eyes, skin, mouth, intestines and genital tract.
